Where are you based and will you travel?

I am based in West Lancashire but I am happy to travel within a reasonable distance! I don’t charge travel expenses for weddings within 40 miles of Blackpool.  For weddings further afield , there will simply be an additional charge of 50p per mile to cover travel expenses. If the location is more than 2 hours drive from Blackpool I may also need 1 nights' accommodation.

How long will you spend at our wedding?

This really depends on the collection you have chosen for your big day, but anywhere between 3 and 10 hours.

Do you take formal group shots?

My style is natural reportage kind of style... couples book me for relaxed photos rather than a lot of stiff formal group shots - however I am happy to take a small number of group shots after the ceremony as I feel they are important for other family members.  I recommend no more than 6 - 8 'variations'.

How many images will we see?

Again, this really depends on the collection you have chosen for your big day, but anywhere between 100 and 300 images ( Not all will be enhanced ).

How long will we need to wait to see our wedding photos?

I will show a ‘sneak preview’ of your images within a week of the wedding on my secure website.  When they are all finished your images will go into an online gallery for you within 6 - 8 weeks of the wedding. I do take a huge amount of care and attention in the editing of your chosen images and whilst this can mean you don’t get them immediately, they will be worth the wait!

Once we have the images can we put our wedding photos on Facebook?

Yes of course you can - you'll get a folder of all the final images resized for the web with my watermark on. All I ask is that you don’t alter them in any way or crop out the watermark.  As a small business I rely on referrals and word of mouth so if you love your photos, please tell everyone you know!

What types of album do you offer?

I offer a 30 page photobook album included in the Lilly and Orchid collections, but this can be added to others also if you wish.

Do you photograph Civil Partnerships?

Of course, I would LOVE to but haven’t as yet.  Call me!

I have heard the term 'first look' used by others, what is a ‘first look’?

This started over in the USA and is only just starting to happen here in the UK although it does happen more commonly now at winter weddings where there can be a limited amount of natural daylight going on.  It’s a pretty neat idea.  What happens is that Instead of first seeing each other at the altar or the registrar’s table, you actually meet-up before the ceremony, in private and see each other for the first time.  It can be a really special time for you – a rare moment of calm and quietness between the two of you that you won’t really get during the hectic (but wonderful) day ahead.  Many couples don’t take it all in at the time… that moment when you first set eyes on each other in front of all your guests is when you are most nervous and from that point the ceremony can be a whirlwind.  A 'first look' allows you both that time to take it all in, settle both of your nerves and share a special moment together to remind you both what the day is ultimately all about.  I will capture that all important first look from a good distance and get some beautiful, emotive shots of the two of you.

What else do you photograph?

Love... in all its many forms… engaged couples, gorgeous weddings, christenings, families...

How do we book?

Once you have decided that you would like me to photograph your wedding and have checked that I am available, I will send you a contract and request a non refundable booking fee deposit of 30%.  Once the contract is signed and booking fee is paid, we're good to go! Let the adventure begin.... :)
